Terms of Service

These terms apply when you download, try or buy InstantCut. InstantCut is made by Karim Mejri, "we" below. By using the app you accept them.

Buying

You buy directly from us. Payments are processed by Stripe on its secure checkout page; we never see your card details. Prices are shown on this website and the checkout shows the final total, including the VAT of your country where it applies. A receipt arrives by email; if you need an invoice, write to us.

Pre-release prices and offers can change, but never for a license you have already bought.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers). InstantCut is digital content supplied right after payment. At checkout you ask us to supply it immediately and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the supply has begun, that is once you download the app or receive your license key. Our 30-day refund policy below applies anyway.

Your license

A license gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use InstantCut on one computer at a time, for your own projects, commercial ones included. The key activates the computer it's first used on. If you change computer, write to us and we'll move your license.

Lifetime: one payment, the app keeps working with no time limit and every future update of InstantCut is included.
Monthly and yearly: the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it; you can cancel anytime from the "Manage subscription" link on this website or by writing to us, and the app keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
Free trial: every feature with 3 exports, one trial per computer.

You may not share, resell or publish your key, try to get around the license or trial checks, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it. We may deactivate keys used in breach of these terms, or refunded orders.

Refunds

If InstantCut doesn't work for you, write to us within 30 days of your purchase and you get a full refund, as long as you haven't exported more than 10 videos. A refund deactivates the license. This doesn't limit any right you have under the consumer law of your country.

Your content and AI features

Your videos and edits are yours, and you are responsible for having the rights to the material you edit. Optional AI features use your own Anthropic API key: their use is billed to you by Anthropic and is subject to Anthropic's terms. AI suggestions can be wrong, so check them before publishing.

Updates and support

The app can check for updates and ask you before installing them. Support is by email athello@instantcut.it; lifetime buyers also get one-to-one help during the first 30 days.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make InstantCut reliable, but it is provided "as is": keep a copy of your original files and check your exports. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the license. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, nor your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by Italian law, without taking away the protection given to consumers by the law of the country where they live. If we change them we'll update this page; the version in force when you bought applies to your purchase.
